Control Systems Technology has entered into a Sales, Service, and Manufacturing agreement with Kanawha Scales & Systems for Train Load Out systems in Australia and New Zealand.

Control Systems Technology were approached by Kanawha because CST have a 30 year history of supplying and servicing precision weighing equipment to Australian and international industries. CST have an extensive network of well trained service personnel across Australia, and over 1600 installations worldwide of Australian designed and built weighers.

Kanawha Scales & Systems (KSS) from West Virginia USA is one of the world’s biggest suppliers of Train Load Outs. KSS are renowned for high precision and high speed loading systems for both trains and trucks. KSS built the world’s first fully automated unattended train load out at Mt Owen in Australia.

CST is committed to supporting existing and new clients of KSS train and truck load outs, to achieve reliable and accurate operation. CST will also help many other existing train load outs benefit by retrofitting KSS technology to provide automation or semi-automation and better performance.

KSS train load outs can provide precision of +/- 250 kg of coal per coal wagon, of +/-350 kg for iron ore per wagon using precision batch weighing methodology. Loading speeds can be up to 1.2 kph. Each facility is engineered to suit the application.

Trade verified installations are applicable. KSS has Australian NMI pattern approval.

Smaller Top Up units are a practical way to give more accurate loading where a volumetric system already exists.
